A Santa Fe Vintage Story
Built in the late 1800’s, CASA SIMPATICA was the adobe house at the end of the street on Palace Ave. Like many pueblo-style homes in Santa Fe, this was built of adobe brick and a stone foundation with a black rod-iron fence surrounding the corner lot.
As time will tell, it was not until much later that the dental brick work of the roof parapet was completed when the architectural designer altered the adobe style to reflect the classic design of the Southwestern Territorial house. This was a more formal approach to design at the time.
The course of action accommodated the interior design trends as the years progressed. Then a noteable room designer planted the seeds of change for kitchen design finished impeccabily without limiting factors.
An ensuite bathroom for each of the king-size bedrooms was designed on a major scale to feel more spa-like. There are pedestal sinks, the showers had rain shower head and a hand-held shower, and there was bathroom storage.
Restorative practices were used to bring the wall décor, interior wall paint, the wood floor and the furnace replacement to a fine finish for a successful integrated design project.
